EVE Energy Unveils Innovative 6.9MWh BESS and Signs Major Battery Contracts

In a notable industry event held in Beijing, EVE Energy has made waves by presenting its latest advancements in energy storage technology, particularly focusing on their groundbreaking 6.9MWh large-format Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This event not only showcased their innovative products but also represented a strategic move towards enhancing global energy efficiency and safety standards in energy storage.

Launching the 6.9MWh BESS

EVE Energy's new BESS, which is part of their renowned Mr. Big family, is engineered to meet modern energy demands with improved efficiency. Designed to fit within a standard 20-foot container, this system offers a 10% increase in energy density compared to its predecessor models. This achievement translates to a volumetric energy density of over 430Wh/L at the cell level—demonstrating significant advancements in battery technology. Furthermore, the system's compact design reduces its footprint by 6%, allowing for a remarkable saving of approximately RMB 2.6 million per installation.

Enhanced Longevity and Safety

One of the standout features of the 6.9MWh BESS is its durability; it promises up to 10,000 cycles while maintaining a state of health (SOH) of 70%. The intelligent design also incorporates a sophisticated temperature management system, which maintains a temperature differential of just 5°C, thanks to its active balancing and precision thermal management processes. EVE Energy has gone the extra mile in terms of safety, incorporating a full-voltage five-level protection mechanism and an active safety solution that leverages artificial intelligence, multi-detection mechanisms, and layered fire suppression strategies. This comprehensive approach ensures effective closed-loop management—from early monitoring to emergency fire control, a critical aspect given the implications of battery safety in energy storage.

Certification Achievements

At the event, the CSA Group awarded EVE Energy with a certificate acknowledging the successful completion of a large-scale fire test for their 628Ah large-format battery system and 5MWh BESS. The rigorous testing followed strict international standards, including CSA/ANSI C80025, UL 9540A, and NFPA 855, proving the system's solidified safety regarding fire incidents and thermal runaway scenarios under extreme conditions.
Furthermore, additional certifications, including CB, CE, and AS, were also achieved for EVE Energy's outdoor integrated storage cabinet, laying down a robust compliance foundation to facilitate their entry and expansion into overseas markets.

Strategic Partnerships and Future Collaborations

Simultaneously, EVE Energy secured strategic cooperation agreements with five prominent industry players, including Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy and Zhejiang Jinko Energy Storage, among others. These collaborations mark a commitment to explore the large-format battery sector, with an impressive total contracted volume exceeding 50GWh.

With these recent innovations and significant partnerships, EVE Energy is not only setting new industry standards but also showcasing its capability and readiness to drive the global energy storage market forward. This holistic approach encapsulates a vision not just to enhance energy storage solutions but to establish a cohesive energy storage ecosystem through robust collaborations with global stakeholders. EVE Energy's dedication to continuous improvement and safety will undoubtedly shape the future of energy storage, addressing both consumer needs and industry expectations as the reliance on renewable energy sources grows worldwide.
