Recently awarded the Letter of Award from Vadhvan Port Project Limited (VPPL), the company will embark on the construction of a remarkable 10.14 km-long breakwater at the soon-to-be-developed Vadhvan Port in Maharashtra.

The project comes with an impressive award value of Rs. 5301 Crore. Once completed, this structure will stand as the second longest breakwater in the world, underscoring Afcons' commitment to innovation and excellence in marine projects.

Notably, the company completed the Bulk Jetty at the Port of Sohar in Oman, one of the world's deepest ports, and the New Owendo International Port in Gabon, noted for being the fastest completed port project in West Africa. The Sulphur Jetty in Kuwait serves as another remarkable example of their extensive experience in the marine sector, showcasing comprehensive EPC berth facilities including trestles, equipment, and intricate structural works.

The Vadhvan Port is set to become India's largest public port as well as one of the largest container ports in the world. With a handling capacity projected at 23.2 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), the new port positions India as a key player in global trade routes, promising to boost both local and national economies.
