NCTC Promotes Jeff Nourse to General Counsel



On May 15, 2025, the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) announced the promotion of Jeff Nourse to the position of General Counsel, a role he steps into following an impressive tenure as Senior Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Nourse has been a pivotal figure at NCTC for over 15 years, guiding the organization through significant shifts in the industry landscape.

As General Counsel, Nourse will become the chief legal officer for NCTC and a vital part of the senior leadership team. His responsibilities will encompass overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters that affect the organization. This includes not only managing the internal legal team at NCTC but also coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary. Additionally, he will serve as the Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer, providing crucial support to the NCTC Board of Directors concerning various governance issues.

In this newly expanded role, Nourse will continue advising on various issues essential to NCTC's members, from regulatory changes in television and broadband to antitrust considerations and contract negotiations. His experience will also extend to influencing employment laws and navigating legal aspects of employee benefits and healthcare plans. Furthermore, he will spearhead internal compliance initiatives, training, and audits across the organization to foster a culture of ethics and accountability.
