Fruit Peaks Expands in Tokyo with New Store Opening at Seibu Ikebukuro

Fruit Peaks Expands in Tokyo

On September 17, 2025, Fruit Peaks, a specialized fruit tart shop, will officially open its new location at the basement level of Seibu Ikebukuro Department Store, renowned for its premium sweets and gifts. This opening comes after the successful launches of the Akihabara and Toyosu Sail Park stores earlier this year, signifying an acceleration of the brand's presence in the capital.

With a legacy rooted in a 100-year-old fruit specialty business, Fruit Peaks aims to deliver the peak taste of fruits through its exquisite tarts and café offerings. The new Seibu Ikebukuro location will be entirely dedicated to takeout, allowing customers to enjoy a selection of more than 20 different products, including their popular item, the 'Fruit Zucotto', and the refreshing 'Fruit Paniere' jelly, which showcases seasonal fruits in vibrant arrangements. Additionally, a variety of baked goods are available, making it an excellent choice for gifts or personal indulgence.

Exclusive Opening Tart

To celebrate its grand opening, the Seibu Ikebukuro store will feature a limited-time tart created specially for the occasion. This exclusive offering will be available from September 17 to October 15, 2025, and boasts an array of seasonal grapes including Shine Muscat, Queen Rouge, and Nagano Purple. The tart balances fluffy sponge with juicy Japanese pears, crafted using premium baked pastry and almond cream, harmoniously enriched with smooth custard and lightly sweetened fresh cream. This creation epitomizes the essence of Fruit Peaks' expertise in fruits, ensuring an exquisite tasting experience that highlights the natural sweetness and texture of the fruits.

  • - Sales Period: September 17, 2025, to October 15, 2025
  • - Sales Location: Fruit Peaks Seibu Ikebukuro Store

Note: This tart contains honey. Due to limited availability each day, it may sell out quickly.

A Strategic Location for Growth

The bustling Ikebukuro district, a major terminal area in Tokyo alongside Shinjuku and Shibuya, attracts visitors for various purposes including business, tourism, and shopping. The increasing inbound demand in recent years makes it a prime location for expanding Fruit Peaks' brand visibility and value.

Following the openings of their Akihabara and Toyosu branches, the Seibu Ikebukuro store will be the brand's third new site in 2025. The latest Toyosu Sail Park store has readily welcomed customers, being the only café-associated shop in the area, often resulting in queues during peak hours. With the new flagship store opening at the fully renovated Seibu Ikebukuro, the brand anticipates reaching an even broader audience, ensuring more people can enjoy the fruit-centric tarts.
