Hosted online via YouTube Live and Zoom, the open campus aims to showcase what it has to offer to prospective students and engage them in the exciting world of digital content creation.

About Digital Hollywood University

Established in April 2005 in Tokyo, DHU is a government-recognized institution known for its comprehensive programs in Digital Communication and Digital Content Studies. They emphasize developing skills for navigating a dynamic future including 3D CG, VFX, VR/AR, gaming, media art, and web design, among many other disciplines. Under the leadership of President Tomoyuki Sugiyama, the university has cultivated a diverse campus environment, with students from 46 countries.

Special Guest Lecture by ILM Graduate

A highlight of the Open Campus will be the special lecture by Yoshiyasu Yamada, a graduate who works as a VFX artist at the prestigious Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). He will join us live from the United States, sharing his inspiring journey of making his childhood dream of creating movies like Star Wars come true.

Yamada-san pursued his dreams after graduating from Digital Hollywood U.S.A., becoming an essential part of numerous major Hollywood projects, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and series like The Mandalorian. His unique insights into the industry are sure to light a spark in the creative ambitions of attendees.

Event Schedule

The event will be divided into two parts. The first half, streamed on YouTube Live, is targeted towards high school students and prospective applicants.
