Hall of Fame Health Establishes Spine Advisory Board to Provide Elite Care for Athletes

Hall of Fame Health Establishes Spine Advisory Board

In a significant move to enhance healthcare services for elite athletes and veterans, Hall of Fame Health has announced the formation of its new Spine Advisory Board. Founded in collaboration with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020, Hall of Fame Health has been dedicated to providing concierge healthcare services and is now taking a bold step towards specialized spinal care.

The newly created advisory board is composed of leading spine surgeons who will be instrumental in developing a nationwide network known as the Spine Elite Care Centers. This initiative aims to gather top medical and orthopedic spine specialists from across the United States, starting with The Carrell Clinic in Dallas, which will serve as the first facility in this innovative network. Over time, Hall of Fame Health plans to expand this initiative to include a total of eight specialized centers dedicated to spine care.

Jeremy Hogue, President and CEO of Hall of Fame Health, stated, "At Hall of Fame Health, we're focused on building networks that support elite athletes and combat veterans, as well as the organizations aiding these individuals and their families. The Spine Advisory Board allows us to collaborate with premier institutions and corporate partners like Medtronic, significantly speeding up the development of this crucial care network."

This partnership with Medtronic is particularly noteworthy as it brings in their extensive expertise in neurosurgical and spinal technology. By merging resources and expertise, Hall of Fame Health is set to improve access to top-tier treatments for conditions related to the back and neck, as well as other spinal and neurological issues that notably affect elite athletes.

Dr. Drew Dossett, who chairs the newly formed Spine Advisory Board and is a specialist at The Carrell Clinic, expressed his enthusiasm. "We're honored to serve this exceptional group of patients who have excelled in their respective fields. Our commitment parallels their drive for excellence, as we aim to deliver the highest quality of care. The expansion of the Spine Elite Care Centers across the nation is a development we eagerly anticipate to better meet the needs of our patients."

Hall of Fame Health arose from the concerns of Pro Football Hall of Famers, many of whom witnessed teammates battling various health challenges. They sought to leverage their platform to enact positive change. Through its vast network of hospitals and health systems, Hall of Fame Health connects former professional athletes and their families, alumni networks, and veteran organizations with high-quality medical and behavioral healthcare. They also guide individuals in navigating their benefits and the complexities of health insurance.

The members of the Spine Advisory Board include:
  • - Dr. Drew Dossett, Chairman, Dallas, TX
  • - Dr. Will Hotchkiss, Dallas, TX
  • - Dr. Patrick Johnson, Los Angeles, CA
  • - Dr. Paul Kim, Charlotte, NC
  • - Dr. Ron Lehman Jr., New York, NY
  • - Dr. Fred Marciano, Phoenix, AZ
  • - Dr. John Small, Tampa, FL
