CreatorWeek 2025 Kicks Off in Macao
The highly anticipated CreatorWeek 2025 has officially commenced in Macao, running from October 24 to 28. Organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in conjunction with Branded and partnered with Adbeyond Group Macau, this event has transformed the city into a bustling expo of global creativity. With participation from over 180 creator groups, 50 speakers, and 20 live performances by artists hailing from across the globe, the gathering marks a historic celebration of the creative economy on an unprecedented scale.
The inaugural event was hosted on the evening of October 24 at Wynn Palace, laying the groundwork for an entire week filled with creative energy and international dialogue. Attendees shared their insights on creativity and discussed how diverse narratives can be portrayed through new content formats. The event fostered a vibrant exchange where Chinese creators showcased their traditions and contemporary perspectives while artists from other nations interpreted these narratives for a broader audience. Through interactive experiences, participants highlighted Macao's creative vibrancy and its unique position at the crossroads of East and West.
The conference portion of CreatorWeek, taking place from October 27 to 28 at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macao, will gather creators, social media leaders, and representatives from prominent platforms including Google, Bilibili, Meta, YouTube, Red, and Douyin. Notable guests such as the Stokes Twins and Alan Chikin Chow are set to discuss differences between Eastern and Western communities, monetization, and cross-cultural collaboration, solidifying Macao's role as a creative hub.
Participants can look forward to sessions that extend beyond digital productions. At MGM's Fantasy Box, Wellness Workshops will feature creators like Will Liu and Matt Tralli, guiding participants through a series of wellness training sessions. A Meet and Greet event scheduled for October 25-26 at the Londoner Macao is expected to attract hundreds of fans eager to meet 40 popular creators, including Apl.de.Ap, Steven He, and members of Berywam.
The Galaxy Macau™ will buzz with activity as CreatorWeek Live hosts performances by international stars such as K-pop group XODIAC, Japan’s Psychic Fever from EXILE TRIBE, and Mikey Bustos from the Philippines. The CreatorWeek Academy will provide hands-on workshops led by industry experts and representatives from leading platforms who will share insights on content creation and strategies to expand reach into global markets.
A special Local Community Tour will see international creators connect with local community ambassadors to explore the city’s neighborhoods, local cuisine, and culture. This tour will culminate in collaborative content creation that expresses the spirit of Macao to audiences worldwide.
