XCMG Unveils Groundbreaking Hybrid Crane at European Exhibitions
Beaune, France — In a significant step towards sustainable construction equipment, XCMG Machinery (SHE:000425), a leading global entity in the construction machinery sector, has officially launched its latest innovation — the XCA60_EV. This model is being heralded as the
world's first hybrid all-terrain crane. The showcasing took place during prominent industry events,
Vertikal Days in the UK on September 10 and the
JDL Expo in France on September 17, where it captured the attention of industry stakeholders.
The
XCA60_EV is engineered specifically for the demanding European construction environments and incorporates a patented hybrid oil-electric drive system. This revolutionary technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions by up to
40%, underscoring XCMG's commitment to developing sustainable engineering solutions.
XCMG has consistently intensified its focus on sustainability and product localization, demonstrating through the XCA60_EV that it is at the forefront of introducing
high-end cranes suited for complex construction activities in Europe. These efforts have consolidated XCMG’s presence as a trusted partner in assisting Europe’s transition to greener fleets and modernized urban infrastructures.
Innovative Features of the XCA60_EV
The XCA60_EV is equipped with an operational
400V electric drive system, enabling lifting operations with
zero emissions. It is powered by a robust
170kW electric motor, complemented by a
two-motor drive system that totals
400kW. This configuration allows for remarkable fuel savings without sacrificing lifting capacity or reliability.
Moreover, XCMG's cranes, designed on the
G2 technology platform, exhibit compactness and efficiency essential for urban contexts. For example, the
XCA80G7-1E stands out with compact dimensions of
12.73m x 2.55m x 3.89m and a tight turning radius of
7.75m. Coupled with a
60-meter main boom and a double hook coordination system, it excels in managing complicated urban projects. Another notable model, the
XCA250G7-1E, features remote operation capabilities, allowing a single operator to maneuver the crane efficiently. Both models boast
360-degree vision systems to enhance on-site safety and operator awareness.
Upcoming Events and Future Plans
Looking ahead, XCMG will continue its promotional efforts for the XCA60_EV at the
GIS EXPO 2025 in Piacenza, Italy, starting September 25. In addition to the XCA60_EV, XCMG will present another crane tailored for the European market, the
XCR50_E. This all-terrain crane features an ultra-narrow chassis of only
2.5 meters, complying with EU transport regulations and markedly improving mobility and access in congested job sites.
Sun Jianzhong, Vice President of XCMG Construction Machinery and General Manager of XCMG Crane, stated, "XCMG is committed to supporting the development of sustainable and intelligent infrastructures throughout Europe. Our motto, 'Anchored in Europe, Committed to Europe,' reflects our strategic direction and dedication to our customers and the environment."
The strategy is already resonating in the market. Notably, XCMG's low-emission cranes have received significant orders from clients in
Germany, France, the Netherlands, and other European markets. This trend signals a growing confidence in the advanced lifting equipment offered by XCMG and its client-oriented solutions.
