CAS Collaborates with Novartis for AI-Enhanced Research

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, has officially announced its collaboration with Novartis Biomedical Research, primarily aimed at improving the accessibility of reaction data and supporting AI-driven research. This initiative leverages CAS's expertise in curating scientific data as well as innovative technologies to provide Novartis researchers with seamless access to a wealth of proprietary experimental reaction data and over 160 million curated reactions from the CAS Content Collection™.

Scientific research generates valuable reaction data that is often stored across a multitude of platforms, including electronic lab notebooks, reports, shared drives, and partner platforms. Integrating data from these various sources allows researchers to more efficiently discover, access, and analyze reactions on a company-wide scale. Central to this collaboration is the application of CAS data transformation services via the CAS Intelligence HubSM, which organizes and standardizes Novartis' extensive experimental reaction data collection, making these critical research datasets more readily available for computational research, machine learning, and AI applications.
