Emulsion Flow Technologies Unveils 500L Demonstration Plant
Emulsion Flow Technologies Inc., headquartered in Tokai-mura, Ibaraki Prefecture, proudly announces the successful completion and operation of its 500-liter-scale demonstration plant, which commenced on April 21, 2026. This state-of-the-art facility utilizes our proprietary Emulsion Flow Technology (EFT) for demonstrating capabilities crucial for environmental sustainability, including the recovery of PFAS and lithium-ion battery (LIB) recycling.
A Significant Milestone Towards Commercialization
The establishment of this 500L demonstration plant marks a pivotal milestone in scaling up from our previous research phases, which included lab-scale (1L), pilot-scale (10L), and large-scale (1000L) systems. The initial operations have confirmed stable emulsion generation and separation performance, with plans to further evaluate performance under continuous operation and various conditions.
What is Emulsion Flow Technology?
EFT is groundbreaking in its ability to recover rare earths and metals at high purity levels while effectively eliminating challenging pollutants like PFAS. The technology is designed to enhance both resource circulation and environmental remediation, making it a vital tool for sustainable industrial processes. It presents the opportunity to achieve a dual impact: efficient use of resources and reduced environmental burdens in industrial activities.
Key Features of the 500L Demonstration Plant
- - Large-Scale Processing: Designed specifically for industrial scale, this 500L system operates at a significant processing volume.
- - High-Efficiency Process: Our unique extraction equipment ensures a resource-efficient and environmentally friendly process.
- - Modular Structure: Built compactly to facilitate mass production and easy installation, paving the way for future scalability.
