Caron Florida Gala Celebrates Recovery Champions and Raises Funds for Treatment Scholarships

Celebrating Recovery: The 2026 Caron Florida Gala

On the evening of March 11, 2026, the stunning Opal Grand Resort and Spa in Delray Beach, Florida, set the stage for an inspiring event: the annual Caron Florida Gala. Hosted by the Caron Treatment Centers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to revolutionizing addiction treatment, the gala was not just a gathering but a heartfelt celebration of recovery. Attendees included alumni, community leaders, and generous donors united in their collective mission of transforming lives shattered by substance use disorders.

The gala raised crucial funds to support treatment scholarships and evidence-based addiction recovery programs. By opening doors to those who might otherwise lack access to these lifesaving services, the proceeds empower individuals in their journey towards recovery.

The evening kicked off with a warm welcome reception where guests mingled and bid on numerous raffle items. Following this was a live auction featuring unique experiences and luxury offerings. An elegant dinner with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean accompanied powerful presentations that left an indelible mark on everyone present.

Christine Storm, Regional Vice President for Caron Florida, served as the master of ceremonies and expressed gratitude to all who have supported Caron’s mission through their dedication and contributions. Last year alone, Caron provided an astonishing $9.5 million in scholarships and financial assistance, benefiting 760 individuals and families struggling with addiction.

In his remarks, Caron President and CEO John Driscoll emphasized the organization’s long-standing commitment: "At Caron, our mission is to transform the lives of individuals and families by integrating the science of addiction treatment with the heart of care. What began as one family opening their home to those in need has evolved into a global community dedicated to recovery." His words resonated with everyone present, reinforcing the purpose of the gala.

A highlight of the night was the presentation of the prestigious Partner in Recovery Award to Dave Aronberg, the former Palm Beach County State Attorney. His tireless efforts in combating fraud in the addiction treatment field and his leadership in establishing the Delray Beach Sober Homes Task Force were rightfully recognized. Aronberg’s initiatives have been pivotal in ensuring vulnerable individuals seeking treatment are protected from exploitation.

Mark Skibbie, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, awarded Dr. Glen and Diane Mogan the Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence for their unwavering commitment and support of Caron’s mission to assist families in recovery.

An emotional moment came when Caron alumnus Gabriel-Kane D. took the stage to share his personal journey of recovery. His heartfelt testimonial showcased the profound impact that the Caron community and its supporters have on individuals seeking healing.

The live auction featured once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including VIP concert tickets, an exclusive Major League Baseball All-Star Week experience, a luxurious South African safari, and a rejuvenating getaway to Costa Rica. The excitement surrounding the auction contributed significantly to the funds raised by the end of the evening.

Around 220 guests, including influential figures such as Liz Quirantes, an Emmy Award-winning news anchor, and key members of Caron’s advisory board, attended the gala. Numerous sponsors, including notable individuals and organizations, showcased their commitment to expanding access to addiction treatment through their generous contributions.

The host committee, composed of numerous dedicated individuals, worked diligently to ensure the event’s success. Caron Treatment Centers extends its operations beyond Florida, providing comprehensive addiction treatment services across several locations, including its main campus in Wernersville, Pennsylvania.

By merging compassionate care with innovative addiction research, Caron Treatment Centers aims to support individuals and families on their journey to sobriety. The 2026 Caron Florida Gala served as a pivotal reminder of the power of community, compassion, and commitment to recovery.
