On Friday, October 17, 2025, the popular "Ariake Garden Seasonal Illumination" will kick off, bringing a beloved winter spectacle to the local community. This event, organized by Sumitomo Real Estate Commercial Management Co., Ltd., is set to create a magical atmosphere in Koto Ward, Tokyo.

Lighting Ceremony Details

The highlight of the first day will be a lighting ceremony, open to all visitors. This enchanting event promises a memorable countdown led by enthusiastic children, marking the moment when the beautiful lights come on. It's a perfect way to welcome the winter season!

This year’s illumination is particularly special, as it commemorates a live concert by singer MISIA, held at the Tokyo Garden Theater in 2021. A symbolic fir tree, planted by MISIA and local children, will be the centerpiece of the light display, enhancing the display's charm. Approximately 200,000 LED lights will illuminate the entire area, creating a vibrant spectacle in the heart of Ariake.

- Date & Time: October 17, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Location: Ariake Garden Park (2-1-8 Ariake, Koto Ward, Tokyo)
- Special Features:

- Countdown lighting ceremony led by children
- Mini concert by a brass band featuring local kindergarten and nursery children

- Admission: Free

If it rains, the ceremony will be canceled, and lighting will begin on Saturday, October 18, instead.

Illumination Duration

The lights will be on display from October 17, 2025, until February 28, 2026, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy this delightful winter event.
