In a significant step towards enhancing agricultural sustainability, Kellanova and ADM have joined forces to implement a regenerative agriculture program spanning 120,000 acres across Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. This innovative partnership demonstrates a robust commitment to improving soil health while supporting farmers in the Southeast United States.

The Program's Framework



Over the course of two years, from 2023 to 2024, both companies have worked closely with over 180 local farms. The initiative encourages farmers to adopt regenerative practices, such as planting cover crops and reducing tillage, aimed at improving natural resources essential for farming, including soil, water, and biodiversity. By focusing on these sustainable methods, the program not only benefits the local ecosystem, but also empowers farmers economically and socially.

Environmental Impact



The effects of this program on greenhouse gas emissions have been remarkable. For instance, participating farmers reduced their emissions by an estimated 16,000 metric tons in 2024 - a reduction akin to taking more than 13,000 gas-powered vehicles off the road for a year. Moreover, it’s projected that around 42,000 metric tons of carbon have been sequestered in the soil during this period. The habitat potential index scored an impressive 85%, signifying that farms have nearly maximized opportunities for supporting biodiversity.
