Accelerating into New Challenges: The Kawada Group's Vision
The Kawada Group, through its holding company Kawada Technologies (TSE Prime: 3443, CEO Tadayuki Kawada), is propelling itself towards new business frontiers with the launch of its comprehensive brand statement and logo. Aiming for strategic development beyond the
KAWADA VISION 2030, the group recognizes the year 2026 as pivotal for strengthening its brand communication across various sectors. The motto,
"What shall we challenge next?", serves as a rallying call for innovation.
The Kawada Brand Statement
Since its inception over a century ago with the establishment of Kawada Ironworks, the Kawada Group has been a cornerstone of social infrastructure. With a foundational spirit of
"originality and independence", the group has tackled various challenges, diversifying its operations into numerous fields including bridges, steel structures, construction, civil engineering, ICT, aerospace, and robotics.
The guiding principle of the group is the
"creation of safe and comfortable living environments". As society evolves, so too does the pursuit of comfort and safety, demonstrating the group's commitment to constantly redefine these concepts as it advances in its endeavors. At the heart of these efforts lies a steadfast belief in technology.
The Fusion of Robotics and Construction
The Kawada Group plans to dynamically accelerate digital transformation (DX) in construction by merging the unique technologies developed by its various subsidiaries. Particularly noteworthy is the innovative integration of
"construction" and "robotics", which is distinctive to Kawada. By pairing this fusion with artificial intelligence (AI), the group is set to enhance its capabilities and venture into new domains of challenge.
The new brand logo symbolizes this intention. Rooted in the universal essence of
KAWADA, it embodies themes of
"change", "deviation", and
"leap".
Rebranding and New Logo
The Kawada Group is determined to continue its challenge to realize the vision of
"creating safe and comfortable living environments" through its cutting-edge technology.
The Question Remains: What Shall We Challenge Next?
As an added emphasis, the slogan
"What shall we challenge next?" was submitted to the 2024 Promotion Conference Awards (for middle and high school students) and was crafted by a first-year high school student from Miyagi Prefecture. This encapsulates the history of the challenges embraced by the Kawada Group and the company’s future-focused mindset, affirming it as the cornerstone of the brand's strengthening initiatives.
Corporate Moves: Relocation and Modernization
Starting from April 1, 2026, Kawada Technologies and Kawada Industrial will relocate their Tokyo headquarters to Sunshine 60, located in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo. This move aims to improve working conditions as part of a broader initiative to enhance productivity and employee engagement, responding to the increased personnel demands in its bridge department stemming from the aging of their previous headquarters.
This relocation serves not only as a solution to infrastructural challenges but also stands to enhance employee productivity through a thoughtfully designed workspace that promotes collaboration and communication. The new office features spacious areas, an improved communication layout, and works to create a healthy work-life balance.
New Work Uniforms for Modern Challenges
In anticipation of these shifts, Kawada Industrial will also unveil a completely renewed work uniform, their first in approximately 30 years, effective from April 2026. Previously in green, the new uniforms blend functionality with a design inspired by the Kawada brand logo, emphasizing the importance of both form and function as an essential aspect of corporate identity.
This renewal has been comprehensive, conducted with feedback collected through employee surveys and developed in partnership with renowned sports equipment manufacturer Mizuno. Through this, Kawada Industrial aims to foster a sense of pride among its staff and to solidify its brand image as a unified entity in construction and engineering excellence.
Community Engagement Through Sports
Lastly, Kawada Industrial is making strides in community engagement by acquiring naming rights for the sports facility in Nanto City, named
KAWADA Arena Fukuno. This initiative emphasizes Kawada’s commitment to the local economy and health promotion, complementing its long-standing tradition of coexistence within the community since 1922.
Conclusion
As Kawada Group charts its path into future challenges, it adheres to its core values, poised for further growth and innovation while maintaining the integrity of its reputation—advancing not just its business, but the community around it.
