About Emmanuel Le Perru
In his new role, Emmanuel Le Perru will be tasked with overseeing the comprehensive program strategy at RestoringVision. This includes managing a growing team of dedicated international professionals, formulating high-caliber programming, and solidifying partnerships within the countries they operate. Emmanuel's extensive background in global health program management, which spans over 20 years and 30 countries—in particular, regions in West, Central, and East Africa—will prove invaluable as he drives the organization’s mission forward.
Le Perru comes with a wealth of experience from his previous roles, most notably as the country director for Chemonics International in Haiti, where he directed the procurement and distribution of $20 million in pharmaceutical resources annually. His tenure includes significant positions with Jhpiego as the country director for Nepal and other influential roles at esteemed NGOs such as Population Services International and Management Sciences for Health, alongside research institutions like the French National Cancer Institute and the Pasteur Institute.

During his introduction, Le Perru expressed enthusiasm about joining RestoringVision, acknowledging the impressive milestone the organization achieved—reaching over 34 million people with vision care solutions. His goal is not only to build upon this success but also to expand programs that address the needs of millions more struggling with presbyopia, the age-related loss of near vision that affects hundreds of millions globally.
