The 24th Dance Project of APAMAN: Mie Edition
APAMAN Corporation, renowned for its leadership in the rental housing brokerage sector, is proud to announce the 24th edition of its popular dance project, which aims to promote the charm of all 47 prefectures in Japan. Starting October 15, 2025, the Mie Edition will highlight the area's cultural richness through a dynamic dance performance starring the company's mascot, bear-kun.
Background and Objective
With the goal of revitalizing local communities and showcasing the unique characteristics of each prefecture, this initiative encourages residents to take pride in their heritage. The colorful performances feature bear-kun dancing against backdrops of iconic landscapes and regional specialties, thereby raising awareness and appreciation for the local culture.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 11, which focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Additionally, by harnessing social media for visibility, it aims to contribute to economic growth and fulfilling Goal 8, which emphasizes decent work and economic growth.
Expressing Mie Prefecture's Culture Through Dance
The Mie Edition will present a vibrant dance that reflects the traditional culture and oceanic bounty of the Ise-Shima region. The choreography includes movements inspired by local traditions and natural beauty, such as gestures mimicking a bow at Ise Shrine, the art of grilling fresh Ise shrimp, and steps that imitate the waves of the sea. This creative expression aims to spread smiles and foster a sense of community pride among viewers.
The specific dance steps of bear-kun’s routine include:
