Mark your calendars for October 25, 2025 (rescheduled to October 26 in case of rain) for the Future Park Lab 2025 Autumn event located at Serigaya Park in Machida City. This unique event invites citizens to actively participate in transforming the park into a creative space known as the "Forest of Art." With a rich program that blends the beauty of nature with diverse cultural and artistic activities, there’s something for everyone!

Event Highlights

1. Artful Animal Safari: Engage with delightful animal-themed art banners crafted by artist Fumihiko Ozaki from LaMano craft studio, displayed throughout the park. Additionally, enjoy a sticker rally and a badge-making workshop, both free and open to all without prior registration. The art banners will be on display from October 25 to November 16.

2. Dye Workshop with Acorns and Cherry Leaves: Participate in an eco-friendly dye workshop using acorns and cherry leaves sourced from the park. You can dye eco-bags or pouch bags for just 500 yen, but remember that pre-registration is necessary between October 17 and October 22.

3. Halloween Castle Model Making: Work alongside an architect to build your very own model of a Halloween castle! This workshop has a fee of 1,000 yen and requires pre-registration from October 17 to October 22. Once all models are completed, they will come together to form a fantastic Halloween Town!

4. Playing with Melted Glass: Experience creativity with molten glass in this interactive session. You’ll learn how to manipulate the glass through pulling, stretching, and cutting it to create unique pieces. This workshop costs 1,500 yen (shipping excluded) and also necessitates pre-registration.

5. Make Moving Animal Figures: Use brads to connect parts and create playful animal figures that move! This workshop ensures a fun crafting experience for all, free of charge without registration.

6. 3D Coloring Fun: Enhance your creativity by painting 3D-printed animal models! This hands-on activity only requires a fee of 500 yen, and no prior registration is needed.

7. Family Yoga Under the Sky: Enjoy a refreshing yoga session with your family on the grass. This delightful experience is free and open to everyone without prior sign-up.

8. Museum Goods Project: Engage in a workshop focused on designing goods for the (tentative name) International Craft Art Museum. Join in for an experience of crafting art-inspired items with university students for a fee between 300 and 500 yen.

9. Origami Khmer Rabbit Workshop: Learn to fold origami inspired by the town museum’s exhibition with a curator. The model represents a Cambodian ceramic rabbit pot, crafted in the 12th to 13th centuries, and participants can take their creations home at no charge.

10. Special Bakery Sales: Join us for a limited-time sale at Serigaya Park featuring delightful and adorable baked goods inspired by animals, provided by the local bakery, Komugi no Ie.
