Major Contract for Water Treatment Plant in Wakayama



On August 27, 2025, Watering Engineering Co., a subsidiary of Watering Group, entered into a contract with the Wakayama City Enterprises Bureau for the construction of a new water treatment mechanical facility at the Rokitani No. 2 water purification plant. This initiative is vital to support industrial operations in sectors such as steel, chemicals, and textiles, which are crucial for the local economy.

The Rokitani No. 2 water purification plant utilizes the Kinokawa River as its water source. Since its operational launch in 1965, the facility has witnessed significant wear and deterioration. The aim of the current project is to boost the plant's ability to provide stable water supply under normal conditions and secure adequate water volume during emergencies.

To address these challenges, the project will establish a facility with a processing capability of 100,000 m³ per day in the eastern area of the water purification plant. This construction will include a complete set of mechanical and building machinery, integrating new sedimentation equipment and chemical injection systems while maintaining the functionality of existing facilities.
