Exciting Updates Await in NGS Headline WAVE

On November 25, 2025, at 21:00 JST, Sega is set to broadcast the official program "NGS Headline WAVE" focusing on the much-loved online RPG "PSO2 New Genesis ver.2" (hereafter referred to as NGS ver.2). Hosted by Yu Hasegawa, this program promises to unveil the latest campaigns, updates, and messages from the development team. Viewers can also expect answers to questions from players and surrounding information that will give insights into the current and future aspects of NGS ver.2.

During this episode, attendees will experience insights into December’s upcoming major events, including the much-anticipated “Super Genesis Festival” and the colossal boss “Luinor Luther.” The live stream will also present a preview of the winter updates scheduled to roll out from December to February. The program is designed to keep players engaged and informed about their gaming adventure.

Expect a segment featuring the “Development Letter,” where team insights will be shared, alongside the “Operation Report” segment that allows players to ask questions and share their feedback directly with the development team.

What is NGS ver.2?

Launched in June 2012, the PSO2 series is Sega’s leading homegrown online RPG, and as of June 2023, it has surpassed 11 million total registered users. The major update in June 2023, known as “Super Evolution Update,” introduced NGS ver.2, enhancing gameplay and immersion.

The new features include a revolutionary character creation tool that embraces a "toon display" function, allowing players to craft a unique hero for their adventures. Additionally, the new “Creative Space” content lets players entirely edit their own islands, utilizing various building materials and functions to create diverse gameplay experiences.

NGS ver.2 also enables robust social experiences within an immersive open world, accommodating up to 32 players exploring seamlessly connected environments. Innovations such as "Portable Holograms" add depth to interaction, bringing new connections, surprises, and experiences to life.
