Pelico Partners with Boeing to Enhance C-17 Globemaster III Maintenance Operations

Pelico's Strategic Partnership with Boeing

In a significant move for aerospace maintenance, Pelico has unveiled a strategic project agreement with Boeing on July 22, 2026, during the Farnborough International Airshow. This initiative intends to overhaul the maintenance planning and execution processes for the C-17A Globemaster III, a transport aircraft renowned for its versatility and reliability.

The agreement focuses on the integration of Pelico's Manufacturing Orchestration Platform, which promises to modernize the approach to heavy maintenance. This AI-enabled platform is designed to create a unified workspace aimed at reducing depot cycle times and enhancing fleet availability, thus ensuring an efficient workflow across various operational facets. By connecting supply chains, engineering, planning, and maintenance operations, the platform aims to deliver better predictability in aircraft delivery performance.

Turbo Sjogren, Vice President and General Manager of Government Services at Boeing Global Services, emphasized the critical role Pelico's solution will play. He stated, "Our customers rely on us to help keep their fleets flying safely, and Pelico's platform will provide a comprehensive overview of potential sustainment challenges which allows us to operate more efficiently."

Historically, aircraft maintenance has been hampered by fragmented processes, often relying on outdated spreadsheet methods. By shifting to a comprehensive, real-time view facilitated by the Manufacturing Orchestration Platform, Pelico and Boeing anticipate improved management of material shortages, maintenance priorities, and bottlenecks. This transformation stems from the earlier successful deployment of Pelico's platform in Boeing’s commercial spare parts operations, which saw significant reductions in backlog and notable enhancements in operational effectiveness.

Tarik Benabdallah, CEO and co-founder of Pelico, remarked on the complexity of sustaining aging fleets: "Sustaining aging fleets represents one of the most intricate challenges in the aerospace sector, as these efforts can span decades. Our solutions provide Boeing with visibility into the complex interactions between supply, production, and repair operations, enabling teams to preemptively address disruptions before they lead to late deliveries."

As both companies embark on this partnership, they also plan to explore the application of similar digital tools in supporting sustainment operations across other platforms. Pelico’s efforts do not solely concern efficiency but also integrate a broader strategy that embraces innovation and modernization in aerospace maintenance.
