Eligible pets must be under 12 months old; however, larger breed puppies can be up to 24 months old at the time of submission.

After the application period concludes, judges will select three kittens and three puppies as finalists. From February 17 to March 3, 2025, the public will vote for their favorites, selecting both the Chief Snuggle Officer winners and an animal shelter that will receive a $25,000 donation on behalf of the victorious cuddly creatures and Purina Puppy and Kitten Chow.
