Upcoming Assist Suit Expo in Tokyo
The Assist Suit Association, based in Chuo, Tokyo, is gearing up for its participation in the "Heat Countermeasure Exhibition / Labor Safety and Health Exhibition / Noise and Vibration Countermeasure Exhibition". This event will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight from July 23 to 25, 2025. The highlight of the association's booth will be the "Real Experience Field", where attendees can try on a variety of assistive suits from member companies.
Continuing from last year, the Assist Suit Association aims to raise awareness and educate the public about assistive suits that help mitigate physical burdens during work. Previous events, such as the "Assist Suit Summit" held in Daikanyama, Tokyo and Umeda, Osaka, have provided opportunities for participants to compare and experience different models from various manufacturers. In response to requests for "events where assistive suits can be experienced", the association also hosted the "Assist Suit Expo" in Nagoya and Fukuoka, drawing participants primarily from manufacturing and logistics sectors.
With increasing labor-related injuries and significant issues such as labor shortages and an aging workforce, the association is committed to participating in the Labor Safety and Health Exhibition again this year. This participation aims to address the intensive physical demands of work, shorten work hours, improve operational efficiency, and promote employment among seniors and women.
In the "Real Experience Field" at the exhibition, attendees can experience the various assistive suits in action, particularly in actions that involve significant physical strain, like lifting heavy objects. The association's staff will also be available to provide consultations on how to implement these products effectively in workplaces.
Special Lectures by Industry Leaders
Additionally, the association's representative director, Naruhiko Iida, will present at the "Special Lecture Series by Related Ministries" scheduled for July 24 and 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM both days. The lecture, titled "Myths about Assistive Suits: Important Truths to Know," aims to clarify misconceptions surrounding assistive suits. Each session will accommodate up to 200 individuals.

About the Assist Suit Association
The term 'assistive suit' refers to garments designed not only to enhance strength but primarily to reduce the physical burdens experienced during various work tasks. These include industries such as logistics, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, fishing, healthcare, and caregiving.
Given the growing labor shortages and aging populations, the expansion of the assistive suit market is gaining attention as a potential solution for improving work efficiency, reducing labor costs, and offering support for elder and female workers. The Assist Suit Association, established in November 2022, works collaboratively towards increasing awareness of assistive technologies and facilitating the establishment of standards and guidelines for the sector.
