Tokyo Innovation Base Launches TIB SHOP
Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) has recently commenced operations of the TIB SHOP, a unique initiative aimed at fostering startup growth in Tokyo. Managed by Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (CCC), the shop will serve as a platform where various startup products and food items can be showcased for a limited time. This project supports the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s vision to create a collaborative community for startups and innovators.
The TIB SHOP provides startups the opportunity to test marketing strategies and promote their products in a physical retail space, enhancing their reach to the public. The shop officially opened its doors on June 3, with several selected products set to feature prominently.
Support provided by TIB SHOP
CCC is committed to adding distinctive value to the startups participating in the TIB SHOP by offering various forms of support:
1.
Marketing Data Provision
TIB SHOP staff will conduct customer interviews to gather valuable insights about consumer preferences and behaviors. This data will be compiled into reports and shared with the vendors. Additionally, information collected from in-store cameras and tablets will provide further insights into the interests and actions of visitors, ensuring that the data is processed in a way that preserves customer anonymity.
2.
Business Expansion Matching
Startups will receive support in articulating their networking desires and will be guided in making valuable connections both in-person and online, utilizing networking opportunities effectively.
3.
Product Promotion and Management
By displaying products at TIB SHOP, startups can promote their offerings directly to consumers. CCC will facilitate sales and manage product exhibitions, streamlining the process for the vendors.
4.
Utilizing CCC Group Assets for Market Expansion
The resources of the CCC Group, including test marketing at locations like the Futako-Tamagawa Tsutaya Electrics and exhibitions in bookstores such as Daikanyama Tsutaya, will assist in broadening sales channels both in Japan and Southeast Asia.
