Silicon Labs, a renowned leader in low-power wireless connectivity, has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the BG2B, a cutting-edge Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) wireless system-on-chip (SoC). This latest entry into the Series 2 line is designed to assist developers in creating smaller, more secure, and long-lasting battery-powered IoT devices, promising an exceptional blend of power efficiency, advanced security, and seamless integration.

As the evolution of Bluetooth LE applications progresses, developers face heightened challenges. They are now required to incorporate secure ranging, location intelligence, and enhanced peripheral integrations, while still maintaining the battery life and compact designs synonymous with modern wireless IoT devices. The BG2B meets these challenges head-on, utilizing Silicon Labs’ lowest-power Bluetooth architecture alongside a comprehensive feature set that includes Bluetooth Channel Sounding and Secure Vault™ High security. This novel SoC is equipped with integrated peripherals, such as CAN-FD, LED drivers, and dual Analog-to-Digital converters (ADCs), all packaged in a single, highly integrated platform.
