Join the Exciting 2026 Shibuya Omotesando Women’s Run Event!

Opening the Door to a New You

The much-anticipated "Shibuya Omotesando Women’s Run" is set to take place on March 22, 2026. This remarkable 10km running event, which welcomes approximately 5,000 female runners, offers a unique chance to dash through the stunning streets of Shibuya and Omotesando, including the serene surroundings of Meiji Jingu. Organized by the Shibuya Omotesando Women’s Run Executive Committee and managed by Arbits Co., Ltd., this event aims to promote well-being among women.

A Celebration of Well-Being

The core theme of this running event is the enhancement of women's well-being, focusing not just on physical health but also on emotional joy. Participants often express feelings of accomplishment, noting how they've improved their running distances and times. The supportive atmosphere of the event, bolstered by community volunteers and cheering sections, is designed to enrich the lives of its participants. In line with this goal, a special "Debut Entry" category allows women who have never participated in a running event to join, encouraging many to take their first steps into the world of running. During the previous event, as many as 1,085 women experienced their very first race, marking a new beginning.

Thematic Experience of Doors

This year, the event is embracing a captivating theme of "doors," symbolizing the opening of new possibilities. Participants will be supported in unlocking their physical and mental capacities, meeting their bright futures on the race day.

Voices of First-Time Participants

Many first-time participants from the previous iterations have shared positive feedback:
  • - From a woman in her 20s: "I was surprised by the festive atmosphere, with many unique outfits and the energetic announcements that boosted my spirits. The booths were enriching, especially the free face painting—it made me feel part of the event and added a fun element!"
  • - From a woman in her 50s: "I appreciated the relaxed vibe, without the typical pressure of competition. Hearing that it’s fun and non-competitive really set me at ease before the race!"
  • - From another woman in her 20s: "The event encouraged beginners like me to participate, with plenty of enjoyable activities post-race!"
  • - From a woman in her 30s: "I initially thought it would be a dull school athletic event, but it turned out to be vibrant and exciting!"

Special Guest Appearance

We are thrilled to announce the participation of the renowned athlete, Miyuki Tani, a Paralympic competitor in both long jump and triathlon. She returns as our special guest, bringing a wealth of inspiration to participants.

A Message from Miyuki Tani

"It was my first time participating in the Shibuya Omotesando Women’s Run, and I was enchanted by the stylish landscape and the vibrant atmosphere exclusive to women! Witnessing runners striving for their best towards the finish line was inspiring. I feel honored to be a guest runner this time, and I look forward to sharing the joy of running with everyone."
