The Global Learner’s Institute (GLI), a leading consulting English language school that assists students in entering boarding schools both domestically and internationally, is thrilled to announce its annual English Boot Camp this summer. This popular summer school, which consistently receives positive feedback, will be held from July 22 to July 25.

The focus for this year's Boot Camp is “A Day in the Life Experience,” where students will learn about various professions through hands-on activities. This program provides a unique opportunity to engage with experts who will share their knowledge and experiences directly, fostering both English language skills and a deeper understanding of potential career paths.

Program Highlights:

• - Experience English language activities centered around diverse job roles.
• - Engage in investigative activities that address domestic and global issues.
• - Develop English proficiency alongside non-cognitive skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and empathy over the four-day period.

Program Details:

• - Dates: Tuesday, July 22 to Friday, July 25
• - Time: 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day (totaling 20 hours)
• - Location: GLI Hiroo Campus (GLI Hiroo Campus)
• - Eligibility: Ages 8 to high school students
• - Capacity: First 15 applicants
• - Fees:

- GLI students: 50,000 JPY
- Non-GLI students: 60,000 JPY (including materials and facility usage)

What to Bring:

Participants should bring a water bottle, lunch, and extra clothing, especially on Day 1 and Day 3, where activities could get wet or sweaty.

Daily Activities:

• - Day 1 (July 22): Splash Olympics

- Theme: A Day in the Life of a Triathlete
- Location: Field Athletics Yokohama Tsukushino Course
- Activity: Students will engage in various obstacle courses while using English, enhancing both physical and mental challenges.

• - Day 2 (July 23): Orienteering

- Theme: A Day in the Life of a Boy Scout/Girl Scout
- Location: Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park
- Activity: Using maps and compasses to reach a goal encourages teamwork and leadership skills.

• - Day 3 (July 24): Animal Allies

- Theme: A Day at an Animal Rescue Center
- Location: NPO Minashigo Emergency Rescue Team (Tokyo - Dog and Cat Adoption Center)
- Activity: Students will learn about rescued animals and gain insights into social issues.

• - Day 4 (July 25): Sugar Rush

- Theme: A Day in the Life of a Bakery Chef
- Location: Cooking Facility in Shinagawa
- Activity: Experience making muffins and cookies alongside professional chefs, enhancing understanding of craftsmanship.
