Wahl Professional recently announced that Cristian Botello, a talented barber hailing from Temecula, California, has claimed the title of winner at the U.S. Barber Battle. This victory paves the way for Botello to represent the United States on a global stage during the Wahl Global Barber Battle, scheduled for May 3–4, 2026, in Chicago. The international competition will gather top barbers from 14 countries, emphasizing artistry and craftsmanship within the barbering community.

Botello, who owns his own barbershop, has over ten years of experience in the industry. He has garnered respect for his unique approach to hair design, characterized by bold creativity and precision. His signature techniques often involve a blend of artistic color usage and innovative hair design, striving to redefine the possibilities of clippers and trimmers.

Botello's path in barbering took shape during his high school years, where he found confidence in cutting his own hair before progressing to work on others. In 2019, he opened his barbershop, where he continues to experiment with his style through competitions and ongoing learning.

About four years ago, Botello began to incorporate color into his designs, marking a turning point in his career. This venture into color has since become a defining component of his work. He actively practices on himself and seeks inspiration from fellow barbers and artists globally, particularly for competitions.
