Hyland Joins the Jack Henry® Fintech Integration Network
Hyland, a leading name in enterprise content intelligence and automation, has recently joined the Fintech Integration Network (FIN) by Jack Henry. This collaboration aims to enhance the connection between core banking systems and governed content, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient operation for banking institutions.
The FIN initiative is designed to give Hyland access to Jack Henry's technical resources, thus supporting existing integrations with the SilverLake® and Symitar® Episys® core banking platforms. Essentially, this integration enables customers of Jack Henry to seamlessly implement third-party products.
At the heart of this initiative is Hyland OnBase, one of the financial service industry’s most trusted content management systems. By integrating OnBase with Jack Henry’s core banking data and business context platforms, institutions can enhance their daily operational procedures. The integration is powered by jXchange™ for SilverLake and symXchange™ for Symitar Episys — these service-based programming interfaces allow fintech companies and financial institutions secure access to essential data and business rules.
This means that financial institutions can now connect crucial banking data with OnBase, which aids in visualizing relevant documents within workflows and automates content management processes to boost employee productivity and enhance customer experience. This seamless integration aims to maintain data integrity by using a service layer that governs all interactions, ensuring coherent and secure data exchanges across systems.
Namit Saksena, Hyland’s Vice President of Financial Services Products, highlighted the importance of this integration, stating, "Our customers are looking for ways to have their existing systems work better together, rather than managing yet another system. Our integrations with Jack Henry achieve precisely that." This sentiment underscores the core philosophy of Hyland’s solutions, where the focus lies in making existing processes more efficient without overwhelming users with additional platforms to manage.
Financial institutions today face considerable pressure to modernize their operations while maintaining the integrity of their core systems, as employees rely on these systems daily. Often, these institutions manage content through disconnected systems, leading to inefficient processes where employees struggle with repetitive tasks and document retrieval. Such gaps can hinder service delivery and operational effectiveness, limiting comprehensive insights into customer information and potentially jeopardizing compliance and governance controls.
Hyland's consolidated integrations with Jack Henry stand to bridge this gap effectively, connecting core banking activity with the content and workflows necessary for loan processing, customer service, and compliance operations, all without creating a new content silo. Rather than establishing a separate repository for content, OnBase serves as a secure content hub, linking information between existing systems and integrating documents and workflows into the core banking activities, thereby enabling employees to conduct their tasks more efficiently while continuing with familiar Jack Henry applications.
Moreover, Jack Henry’s FIN platform serves to eliminate client intermediation, granting fintechs direct access to Jack Henry's technical resources and testing systems. It's essential to note that inclusion in the FIN network doesn't entail an endorsement of any fintech product, but rather serves as a pathway for enhanced synergy.
