Deckard Technologies' Rentalscape Platform Transforms Short-Term Rental Compliance and Revenue Recovery for Local Governments

Deckard Technologies Enhances Short-Term Rental Compliance

In a significant leap toward better governance in short-term rentals, Deckard Technologies has reported impressive outcomes this year. The company has leveraged its Rentalscape platform, helping over 400 jurisdictions monitor more than 15 million short-term rental listings. This effort has resulted in compliance rates soaring to an average of 95.3%, as well as a noteworthy 40% increase in tax collections for local governments, spotlighting an essential shift in managing short-term rental (STR) properties.

"Local governments are increasingly pressured to protect neighborhood integrity and ensure compliance, and 2025 made that necessity abundantly clear," remarked Nick Del Pego, the CEO of Deckard Technologies. By providing the visibility and enforcement tools needed, Rentalscape has enabled these communities to achieve measurable improvements concerning fairness, transparency, and revenue recovery.

Across various jurisdictions, reported gains have been significant. For instance, Redondo Beach, California, successfully identified and addressed over 1,000 unlicensed listings, while Southold, New York, uncovered more than 400 properties violating the local rule requiring minimum stays of 14 nights or longer. Assistant town attorney Ben Johnson noted that Rentalscape has allowed for a clearer view of these violations at a scale that was previously unnoticed. In Fort Myers Beach, Florida, transitioning from manual monitoring to the Rentalscape system has streamlined the enforcement process.

Furthermore, customers in regions across Arizona also have lauded the efficiency rendered by Rentalscape. Michael Simmons, a code compliance supervisor in Arizona, expressed his gratitude, stating, “Before Rentalscape, we were always reacting. Now we can identify issues early, address them faster, and interact more effectively with the public about our policies.”

In light of growing demand, Deckard Technologies has scaled its operational capacities significantly. The company expanded its Client Experience team to enhance hands-on support for new and existing programs. This growth was directly influenced by customer feedback and is set to continue into 2026.

Advancements in product development have also been rapid. Drawing insights from users, Deckard executed 75 enhancements to Rentalscape throughout the year. These updates included upgraded artificial intelligence tools, the introduction of a new Inspection Portal designed for better compliance tracking, and improved communication features to simplify automated tax reminders. A newly launched AI-driven violations management system further aids governments in promptly identifying and categorizing enforcement issues.

Principal Product Manager Gert Erasmus emphasized that every enhancement to Rentalscape responds to the evolving needs of jurisdictions balancing tourism demands and quality of life for residents. Looking ahead to 2026, Deckard aims to unveil further AI capabilities, fresh automation features, and their first predictive modeling tools. These tools will serve to help communities anticipate tax revenue, grasp housing implications, and communicate effectively with residents and decision-makers.

This year, Deckard Technologies successfully onboarded 120 new municipal clients, which included 14 from Florida and 10 from New York. The company also secured venture debt to support ongoing product development. In recognition of its accomplishments, Deckard was awarded the 2026 PropTech Award for Property Compliance Platform of the Year. The local government presence of the company also expanded, facilitated by over 60 events, conferences, and community meetings nationwide.

In conclusion, Nick Del Pego reiterated the importance of the trust placed in Deckard Technologies by their partners, stating, “This year underscored that with the right tools, local governments can enforce STR policies fairly, transparently, and sustainably. We are excited to build on these achievements in the coming year.”
