Celebrate Valentine's Day with Music!
On February 8, 2026, the Komagome Regional Cultural Creation Center, supported by the Toshima Future Cultural Foundation, will host the Valentine Concert in Komagome. This event aims to enhance local cultural activities and foster exchange within the community. The concert will feature acclaimed composer and pianist Hiroshi Aoshima, alongside mezzo-soprano Miki Isochi, promising an evening filled with enchanting melodies and delightful conversations.
A Blend of Music and Valentine’s Atmosphere
This concert will not only showcase Hiroshi Aoshima's light-hearted talk but will also include a selection of romantic pieces that encapsulate the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Audiences can expect to hear favorites such as the "Habanera" and "Seguidilla" from Bizet’s opera "Carmen," as well as Aoshima's original works like "February - Valentine" from "The Season of Girls." Timing perfectly to resonate with the Valentine's theme, the program includes Satie’s "Je te veux" and Gounod’s "The Evening Song."

Featuring the Artists
Hiroshi Aoshima (Talk and Piano)
Born in Tokyo in 1955 and a resident of Komagome, Hiroshi Aoshima graduated at the top of his class from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He has composed over 300 works, including operas and choral pieces. As a conductor and pianist, he has been involved in numerous concerts, and his extensive media presence includes popular NHK programs. Aoshima currently serves as a guest professor at Seirei Universiy and is an active member of various musical associations.
Miki Isochi (Mezzo-Soprano)
Graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts with a vocal major, Miki Isochi has performed in various operas and concerts across several countries. Isochi has played significant roles in major productions and is known for her powerful performances. Currently, she also teaches at Seirei University and is a member of the Nikikai Musical Theatre Company.
