Known globally for her expertise and creativity, D'Orazio brings nearly three decades of revolutionary experience in the whisky industry. D'Orazio previously served as the Master Blender and Chief Nose Officer at Mackmyra, where she played a pivotal role in defining the flavor profile of contemporary Scandinavian whisky. Her impressive portfolio features Sweden's first smoky whisky, as well as groundbreaking finishes like Calvados and cloudberry wine, alongside the world's first AI-designed whisky.

With her vast knowledge and an established reputation for adventurous flavor experimentation, D'Orazio is set to lead a talented team of whiskymakers at Compass Box. On the other hand, Travers, armed with a Master's degree in Brewing and Distilling, brings precision and a unique creative approach, having refined both distillation and blending programs.

As a part of this transition, James Saxon, who previously served as the Director of Whiskymaking, has decided to pursue new opportunities outside the whisky arena. Saxon has left a meaningful legacy at Compass Box, having made significant contributions to the brand and its innovative blends.
