The renowned watchmaker Swatch has initiated a captivating road trip event titled the "MoonSwatch Tour," aimed at delivering their innovative "Bioceramic MoonSwatch" collection in collaboration with OMEGA to a wider audience. This unique event will make its way to Miyagi Prefecture, specifically at "Kawamachi Terasu Yuriage" on October 11th and 12th, 2025.

Attendees can immerse themselves in the MoonSwatch universe against the backdrop of autumn's refreshing skies, making for a memorable two-day experience.

The "Bioceramic MoonSwatch" collection is not merely a line of chronographs; it embodies the groundbreaking spirit of OMEGA's Speedmaster Moonwatch, which is celebrated for its pivotal role in humanity's lunar exploration. Each model in this collection carries names inspired by celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, and planets, with their distinctive designs and narratives continuing to captivate audiences since their launch in 2022.

In Japan, the collection is exclusively available at select Swatch stores, not sold online, making the MoonSwatch Tour a valuable opportunity for fans to encounter the collection firsthand. This tour features OMEGA Speedmaster alongside the iconic car, FIAT 500, which was also born in 1957, traveling across various locations. It kicked off from Swatch's headquarters in Biel, Switzerland in the summer of 2022 and has visited unique areas across Japan without Swatch stores.

What is MoonSwatch?

The "Bioceramic MoonSwatch" collection is an homage to the legendary OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch, the first watch worn on the moon, created in 2022 through Swatch’s innovative vision. This collection merges the essence of the Speedmaster with Swatch's unique energy, evolving into a collection of chronographs that captivate people worldwide.

Continuing to release unique models sporadically, the collection has kept the public intrigued, transforming it from merely a timepiece into a lifestyle icon. The Bioceramic material used in these watches is a patented blend developed by Swatch, composed of two-thirds luxury-grade ceramic and one-third bio-derived material sourced from castor oil. This special composite provides a silky matte finish and excellent durability while ensuring a comfortable fit.

Since its founding in 1983, Swatch has made waves in the watch industry, consistently delivering memorable designs reflective of the times and establishing itself as a leading watchmaker globally. Known for a commitment to surprises through regular new releases and special collections, Swatch underscores its dedication to thinking and acting innovatively, having actively engaged in the realms of action sports, art, and music from its early days.
