JA Solar's Continued Leadership in Climate Action at COP30

From November 10 to 21, 2025, the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) took place in Belém, Brazil. This significant event gathered around 56,000 representatives from over 190 countries, offering a pivotal platform for discussions on crucial climate-related issues such as emission reductions, climate adaptation, and financing strategies.

The company announced significant achievements, revealing that it managed to prevent the emission of over 50 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents in 2024 alone, achieving a green electricity consumption ratio of 34%. In 2025, JA Solar intensified its sustainable practices by collaborating with global stakeholders to establish responsible supply chains and support a circular economy.

During COP30, JA Solar actively engaged in multiple dialogues and events, including energy roundtables organized by the United Nations Global Compact. Moreover, it participated in the launch of the Brazilian Initiative on Time and Region-Specific Global Carbon Electricity Factors by State Grid, as well as signing on to the 100% Green Electricity Consensus of 2025 as one of the inaugural companies.

A bilateral meeting was held with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), providing an opportunity to discuss updates and strategies regarding corporate decarbonization efforts.
