Opening of 'Fujimaru': A Hub for Childcare in Fujikawaguchiko
On October 13, 2025, Asuka Corporation, which provides childcare support services nationwide, launched a new facility named 'Fujimaru' in Fujikawaguchiko City, Gunma Prefecture. This complex marks a significant initiative aimed at improving childcare support in the region against the backdrop of an aging population and declining birth rates. Fujimaru is designed to enhance the quality of life for local citizens and to create an environment where families can thrive.
A Multi-Purpose Hub
Fujimaru was constructed on the site of the former Fujikawaguchiko General Hospital and hosts several facilities including a library, a multipurpose hall, and a childcare health center. Notably, it features an indoor playroom and a daycare room, fostering community interaction among children and families. Asuka will take charge of operating the playroom and daycare from August 2025, aiming to support local childcare efforts.
A Secure and Playful Environment
The Playroom: Tailored for Developmental Stages
Designed by the renowned company BorneLund, the expansive 450 square meter indoor play area includes four distinct sections tailored to different stages of childhood development:
1. Yochiyochi Area (Crawlers)
A safe space for infants, allowing them to explore and play freely.
2. Sukusuku Area (Creative Play)
Providing opportunities for imaginative play with toys like blocks and play kitchens to enhance children's creativity through static activities.
3. Wakuwaku Area (Dynamic Play)
An energetic zone equipped with trampolines and rotating equipment, where youngsters can engage in physical activities that promote bodily movement.
4. Tsudoi no Hiroba (Communal Gathering)
A gathering space with symbolic play equipment meant for intergenerational interaction.
Our qualified childcare professionals ensure that children can play safely and fully enjoy their time in this nurturing environment.
