Human Academy Launches New Art and Business Course in Partnership with Entrepreneur Art Association

Human Academy Launches Innovative Course

Human Academy, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has recently partnered with the Entrepreneur Art Association to kick off a unique program called ART & BUSINESS ACADEMY. This innovative course is designed to equip business professionals with essential skills to thrive in an AI-driven landscape.

Partnership Overview

The collaboration is rooted in the shared vision of enhancing the ability to pose questions. In a rapidly changing business environment, it's not enough to simply deliver quick answers. The initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of critical inquiries, emphasizing the importance of discovering meaning and value in ambiguous situations. By blending art and business insights, participants will be exposed to a diverse range of perspectives that will help cultivate innovative thinking.

The ART & BUSINESS ACADEMY program is structured as a six-month course, which opens the doors for both corporate training and individual enrollment. This approach enables a broader audience of business people to engage with art in a meaningful way, bridging the gap between disciplines that often seem disparate.

Course Components

The course consists of six sessions, with initial and final sessions held in person in Akasaka, Tokyo. The intermediate four sessions will be conducted online to ensure accessibility for participants nationwide. The curriculum aims to cover critical areas at the intersection of art and business, including:
  • - Understanding contemporary art
  • - The role of art in transforming communities and businesses
  • - Design thinking principles that infuse brands with soul
  • - Practical strategies to enhance business skills through art

To enrich the learning experience, a special program features a closed tour to Takumi Residence Craft Valley in Shizuoka. It is designed to facilitate hands-on experiences between makers and business leaders through interaction with various craft mediums.

The Context of the Initiative

The initiative was spurred by the increasing impact of generative AI on the business landscape, creating a pressing need for professionals to develop capabilities beyond quick problem-solving. The ART & BUSINESS AWARD 2025, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan and Forbes Japan, has highlighted how collaborative efforts between businesses and artists are generating significant economic and cultural value, with over 150 entries submitted for its inaugural award year.

The emphasis on artistic co-creation is becoming more widespread, and Human Academy sees itself at the forefront of this transformative trend. By leveraging their considerable expertise in educational program development since its establishment in 1985, the partnership aims to introduce business professionals to a realm of art that many have previously overlooked.
