Mitsubishi Motors North America Reports Q2 2025 Sales



Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has announced its sales performance for the second quarter of 2025, revealing a total of 22,116 vehicles sold. This figure has propelled the brand's total sales for the year to 53,753 units, marking a significant 5.1% increase compared to the first half of 2024. This robust performance represents the best first-half sales results for the brand since 2019.

The Outlander, MMNA's flagship model, continues to lead in sales with 7,821 units sold during the quarter. The redesigned 2025 Outlander has been well-received, showcasing Mitsubishi's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Additional highlights from the quarter include the strong sales of the Eclipse Cross, which saw an impressive 80% increase over Q2 2024 with 4,534 units sold, and the Outlander Sport, contributing 4,968 units, nearly 50% higher than the prior year. The Outlander Plug-in Hybrid also attracts interest, showing a 6.3% increase in sales thus far this year. Meanwhile, the Mirage, though it has halted production, is clearing out existing dealer inventory with 10,719 units sold, reflecting an 8.7% growth in year-to-date sales compared to the first half of 2024.

Furthermore, MMNA is making strides under its ambitious business plan, named Momentum 2030. This strategy aims for a new or significantly updated vehicle to debut each year from 2026 to 2030, underscoring the brand's aim for sustained growth and innovation in the automotive market.

As part of this strategic initiative, MMNA has confirmed a partnership with Nissan Motor Co. to roll out a battery electric vehicle (BEV) by the summer of 2026. This collaboration looks toward the future of electric mobility and aligns with the growing customer demand for eco-friendly vehicle options.
