TrinaTracker Expands Manufacturing in Saudi Arabia

In a significant move to solidify its presence in the Middle East, TrinaTracker, a renowned leader in intelligent solar tracking solutions and a subsidiary of Trinasolar Co. Ltd (SHA: 688599), has announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. This ambitious project is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2025 and marks a crucial milestone in the company's ongoing localization strategy.

The new factory will be located in the third industrial city of Jeddah, through a leasing agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). This state-of-the-art facility will have an annual production capacity of 3 GW, focusing on the manufacturing of the Vanguard series of solar trackers and intelligent control systems. It is set to become TrinaTracker’s fourth manufacturing site, adding to the existing operations in China, Spain, and Brazil.

The Middle East has emerged as a pivotal market for solar tracking systems, offering vast land areas and high irradiation that provide ideal conditions for solar power plants. TrinaTracker's comprehensive solar tracking solution includes their reliable Vanguard structure, intelligent control systems, and lifecycle professional services. Our custom solutions are particularly suited for environments characterized by sand, strong winds, and high temperatures. Leveraging real project data globally, the TrinaTracker intelligent control system promises up to 8% more energy production annually, significantly increasing the internal rate of return for project owners.

In alignment with Trinasolar’s broader strategy to enhance regional service, the new factory will facilitate faster delivery, improved technical support, and comprehensive pre-sale and post-sale services. A dedicated service team will provide training programs and on-site support, reinforcing Trinasolar’s commitment to its partners and customers throughout the region. This initiative will not only strengthen TrinaTracker’s global footprint but also expand its market presence in the region and beyond.

As of the end of Q4 2024, TrinaTracker has successfully delivered 27 GW of intelligent solar tracking systems worldwide. The company aims to continually provide superior smart solutions and local services to clients across the globe through its expansive localization strategy.

The establishment of this new plant highlights TrinaTracker’s dedication to enhancing its capabilities and service offerings in a rapidly growing market, emphasizing the importance of sustainable energy solutions in addressing global energy demands. As the world transitions towards renewable energy, TrinaTracker stands poised to play a pivotal role in the future of solar energy technology.
