Free Webinar on European Battery Regulations and Compliance Preparedness Scheduled for July 2, 2026

Upcoming Free Webinar on European Battery Regulations

On July 2, 2026, e-dash Inc. will host a free online seminar titled "Current Trends and Preparedness for European Battery Regulations: CFP, Human Rights & Environmental DD, Digital Battery Passport, and Compliance Assessment." This event is co-sponsored by K&ESG Inc. and Intertek Certification, a Japanese branch of the Intertek Group, which has received Notified Body certification in accordance with the European Battery Regulation (EU 2023/1542).

Background of the Webinar

The European Battery Regulation is a significant directive affecting the global manufacturing industry, targeting EV batteries, industrial batteries over 2 kWh, and LMT batteries. It mandates a series of obligations including the calculation of Carbon Footprint (CFP), human rights and environmental due diligence, the establishment of a Digital Battery Passport, and compliance assessments on a phased basis. The first Notified Body was certified and announced in February 2026, accelerating the regulation's implementation, with crucial details on CFP calculation and human rights DD guidelines expected to be released within the year. Given this pressing timeline, this seminar aims to clarify the current regulatory landscape and future preparedness strategies with insights from industry experts at K&ESG and Intertek Certification.

Seminar Overview

The seminar consists of three sections, each featuring specialized speakers who will provide detailed explanations on the following topics:

Part 1: Latest Trends in European Battery Regulations

Speaker: K&ESG Inc.
This section will review the development status and expected release dates of various regulations, elucidating how these connect to other European directives requiring product environmental assessments, such as the Eco Design Regulation and ELV Directive.

Part 2: Compliance Assessment and CoC Information Collaboration Requirements

Speaker: Intertek Certification
Focusing on their role as a Notified Body, the speaker will explain the scope of required compliance assessments and how businesses can appropriately request these assessments. Additionally, the section will delve into key aspects of information collaboration requirements under the Chain of Custody (CoC) between economic operators and suppliers.

Part 3: Practical Approaches to CFP Calculation and Human Rights DD

Speaker: e-dash Inc.
The final part will discuss what companies need to prepare for CFP calculations and human rights/environmental DD compliance as required by the European Battery Regulation. It will also introduce the efficiency potentials of utilizing e-dash's CFP calculation services.

Who Should Attend

This webinar is particularly beneficial for representatives from battery-related companies affected by the European Battery Regulation, including those involved with EV batteries, industrial batteries (over 2 kWh), and LMT batteries. Participants looking to enhance their preparedness for CFP calculations, human rights and environmental DD, the Digital Battery Passport, and compliance assessments, as well as those keen to understand the latest developments in the regulations, are encouraged to join.
