'Moshi-Mo FES Osaka 2026' to Elevate Disaster Preparedness
The highly anticipated disaster preparedness experience event, 'Moshi-Mo FES Osaka 2026,' co-hosted by Kokumin Kyosai Coop (National Workers' Mutual Aid Cooperative Union) and Asahi Broadcasting Television, is set to take place at Grand Green Osaka this March. The event aims to raise awareness about disaster preparedness and mitigation amidst the increasing apprehensions surrounding potential natural disasters like the Nankai Trough earthquake.
Scheduled for March 14-15, 2026, this interactive event will transform the conventional understanding of disaster readiness into a fun learning experience. Participants will engage in various activities designed to teach them essential behaviors and actions that should be taken from the moment an earthquake strikes to the subsequent evacuation process. Through enjoyable and informative content, attendees will gain valuable insights into disaster preparedness.
In addition to the educational experiences, the event will feature booths hosted by companies at the forefront of disaster prevention and management. Visitors can also look forward to stages showcasing popular TV and radio programs from Asahi Broadcasting, creating a lively atmosphere for learning about safety and resilience.
Moreover, Asahi Broadcasting will roll out the 'Asumirai Week' campaign from March 9 to 15, coinciding with the event. The week-long campaign will focus on disaster preparedness and mitigation across multiple programs, starting with 'Ohayo Asahi Desu,' aired weekdays at 5:00 AM, and 'news Okaeri' at 3:40 PM. Additionally, mornings will feature discussions on disaster preparedness on the live radio show 'Ohayo Personality' with Yusuke Ogata and Masaki Furukawa, airing weekdays at 6:30 AM.

Background of 'Moshi-Mo FES Osaka 2026'
The 'Moshi-Mo FES Osaka 2026' builds on the success of the first event held in September 2022 as part of the 'Moshi-Mo Project,' organized by Shibuya Future Design. Following the earlier event in 2024, this will be the second edition focusing specifically on disaster risk reduction in Osaka, a region that faces significant threats from potential natural disasters like the Nankai Trough earthquake.
In the wake of seismic events like the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024 and the first issuance of emergency information regarding the Nankai Trough earthquake in August, the urgency for disaster preparedness in Osaka has never been greater.
March 11, 2026 will mark 15 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through this event, we aim to raise awareness of disaster preparedness among attendees and encourage practical applications of the collaborative insights gained during their visit.
