UCLA Anderson's Price Center Honored as 2025 Nasdaq Center of Excellence

UCLA Anderson's Price Center Earns Prestigious Recognition

The Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, part of UCLA Anderson School of Management, has received the distinguished title of 2025 Nasdaq Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence from the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC). This accolade reflects the commitment and hard work of faculty, staff, students, and community supporters over the years.

This award aims to honor entrepreneurship centers around the globe that have demonstrated significant achievements in various important fields. According to Holly DeArmond, executive director of the GCEC, the recognition illustrates UCLA Anderson's esteemed position within the entrepreneurial education landscape, placing it among the exceptional centers honored by Nasdaq.

The recognition is predicated on several evaluations, including the depth and variety of educational programs, contributions made towards advancing entrepreneurship education through innovative curriculum development, and research that benefits new business ventures. Additionally, the Price Center emphasizes community involvement and recognizes the educational collaborations that enhance entrepreneurial understanding.

Professor Olav Sorenson, the faculty director of the Price Center, expressed pride in the newfound recognition. He stated that the award emphasizes the significant role their programs play in nurturing and inspiring future entrepreneurs. The award was officially conferred on October 4, 2025, during a ceremony at the GCEC Conference held at the University of Calgary, which gathered an international audience of over 500 participants from more than 200 universities in 20 different countries.

In his speech, Jeff Reid, the founding director of Georgetown Entrepreneurship, noted that this award represents the utmost distinction a university's entrepreneurship center can receive, with its recipients embodying excellence in entrepreneurial education across the globe.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Price Center, Elaine Hagan, the associate dean of entrepreneurial initiatives at UCLA Anderson, highlighted the importance of this recognition. She remarked that it symbolizes decades of hard work and dedication from the entire UCLA Anderson community, showcasing the collaborative effort that made the award possible, particularly since it is given by respected peers within the entrepreneurship education sector.
