Get ready for a unique celebration as the Great Panda Exhibit: Celebrating the Lunar New Year with Shanshan arrives in Tokyo! Organized by Kōchi Gakuen Co., Ltd., this four-day event will take place from February 20 to February 23, 2026, at the JMF Building in Takadanobaba, and it's completely free to enter!

A Themed Event for Panda Lovers


The inaugural Great Panda Exhibit is not just any ordinary event; it’s a festive celebration featuring the beloved panda, Shanshan, alongside the joyful Lunar New Year festivities. The highlight of this event will be a special collaboration with the popular content series “Every Week with Shanshan,” which will include a guest appearance by the famous Panda Fan.

Exclusive Special Talk Show


One of the main attractions will be a ticketed talk show featuring insights into Shanshan’s latest antics, alongside the adorable Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei. The audience will enjoy a detailed presentation enriched with photos and videos from Shanshan’s home in China, as well as a walkthrough of the nearby facilities housing Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei. This session promises to provide a captivating glimpse into the panda family’s life.

But that’s not all! Attendees can look forward to a thrilling raffle at the end of the event, with fabulous prizes to be won!

Free Photo Exhibition


On display will be the latest photos of Shanshan taken recently as part of “Every Week with Shanshan.” Visitors can immerse themselves in the charm of this delightful panda as captured through the lens.

Don’t miss the special screening on February 23, where videos showcasing the renovated environment of Shanshan's home and the facilities where Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei reside will be shown.

Workshops for All Ages


To enhance the experience further, two engaging workshops will be conducted:
1. Introduction to Sichuan Dialect: Learn the basics of the Sichuan dialect, the language spoken in Shanshan and Hubao’s home region, complemented with expressions commonly used during the Lunar New Year. Perfect for beginners!
2. Custom Panda Keychain Making: Participants can use an original illustration from the character “Pompom” to create a personalized keychain. Watch as the designs shrink in the oven, creating a fun experience for both adults and kids.
