Akafuku's Exclusive Pop-Up in Haneda Airport
Akafuku, known for its traditional sweets from Ise, will host a limited-time pop-up at Haneda Airport from
August 7 to 18, 2025. This event is a fantastic opportunity for travelers to indulge in unique Japanese treats that are hard to find in Tokyo. The pop-up will feature favorites like
Akafuku Mochi and
Shiro Mochi Kuro Mochi, alongside the much-anticipated
Akafuku Mizu Yokan, which makes its debut at this location.
Featuring Seasonal Flavors
One of the highlights is the new
Akafuku Mizu Yokan, crafted with Hokkaido red beans for a smooth, refreshing taste. Its presentation in a dynamic one-piece block adds a visual delight, making it perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own. This summer delicacy is designed to be easy on the palate and offers a light sweetness, ideal for those hot days when appetite may wane.
Another exciting offering is the
Mochi Dorayaki, made with soft dorayaki skin and filled with smooth red bean paste and mochi. This product has been well received in past events and is sure to delight visitors at the airport. The combination of textures between the dorayaki and the soft mochi is a signature of Akafuku’s quality.
In addition, two
seasonal yokan varieties will be available. The
Toki no Yokan Suika captures the essence of summer with its three-layer watermelon flavor, creating a charming treat. The autumn-inspired
Toki no Yokan Kuri incorporates chestnut paste with red bean yokan, perfectly blending the transitional flavors of the seasons.
A Treat for Everyone
Akafuku will also offer the
Okage Inu Sable, a delightful baked confection made with locally sourced Ayahikari wheat and two types of domestic butter. This cookie not only serves as a great souvenir for family and friends but is also perfect as a personal indulgence.
Travelers are encouraged to stop by and enjoy these special sweets as they prepare for their summer vacations or family reunions. It's a delightful way to experience the taste of Ise right at the airport.
