Preparation for the Participants

To enhance the immersive experience, participants will receive preparatory materials and themes in advance. Additionally, they can attend preparatory training lessons at no extra cost. This allows individuals to focus solely on practicing rather than learning on the day of the event, ensuring a realistic experience that mimics genuine situations one might encounter in China.

China's rapid digitalization serves as the backdrop for this innovative program. While many aspects of daily life are managed through smartphones, participants will also confront unexpected challenges, enabling them to build practical response capabilities. Who Can Join?

The immersive experience is open not just to current students of the Hao Chinese Academy but also to anyone interested in improving their Chinese language skills. Registration is limited to the first 16 participants and will be open from July 7 to August 22, 2026.

Participants will engage in four realistic scenarios, each comprising three missions, all aimed at enhancing their linguistic output in an enjoyable and natural manner. Each mission reflects real-life situations they may encounter while traveling in China.

Scene 1: Navigating Transportation

3. Successfully board the high-speed train (Gaotie)!

Scene 2: Hotel Challenges

1. Reserve tickets for tourist attractions via smartphone!
2. Acquire a Chinese map app!
3. Ensure your luggage is stored safely after checkout!

Scene 3: Café Interactions

1. Order coffee using an app!
2. Check your electronic ticket!
3. Negotiate seating when the café is full!

Scene 4: Shopping Adventures

1. Negotiate prices at a souvenir store!
2. Ask the shop staff for help with mobile payment issues!
3. Experience delivery services!
