Community Hospital Corporation Appoints New Leadership at Longview ContinueCARE Hospital

Community Hospital Corporation Promotes New Leadership at Longview ContinueCARE Hospital

On March 9, 2026, Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) announced significant executive changes at Longview ContinueCARE Hospital, a 32-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) in Longview, Texas. The announcement comes as part of the organization's commitment to improving patient care and operational excellence in the region.

Leadership Transition

Aubrey Harry, previously the Area Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Longview ContinueCARE Hospital, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and CNO of East Texas LTACH. This change follows the retirement of Stephanie Hyde, the former Area CEO, who led the hospitals for 22 years, overseeing critical developments and enhancements in patient care.

During her tenure, Hyde played a crucial role in expanding the hospital's capabilities, notably increasing its capacity from 25 to 51 beds and guiding the establishment of the Longview facility in 2024. Her efforts were instrumental in treating over 11,000 patients from Tyler and surrounding communities, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, where she utilized the LTACH as a vital resource for short-term care.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked closely with an incredible team dedicated to providing quality care for our medically complex patients," Hyde expressed in her farewell. She emphasized the strides made during her career in ensuring that the hospital maintained both financial resilience and operational efficiency in a challenging healthcare landscape.

The Way Forward with Aubrey Harry

Aubrey Harry, who joined CHC’s ContinueCARE division in 2013, takes on her new role with a wealth of experience and a clear vision for the future. Reflecting on her promotion, she stated, "I am both excited and deeply humbled to take on the responsibilities of CEO/CNO. I have had the privilege of being mentored by Stephanie for over a decade and am eager to carry forward the mission we set together."

Harry underscores the hospital's unwavering focus on putting the patient first, stating, "As we move forward, our commitment to quality care will remain unchanged. We are actively seeking to grow our team and explore opportunities to expand our LTACH services, addressing the increasing healthcare needs of the greater East Texas community."

She expressed her gratitude for the tenured staff, crediting their dedication to clinical excellence, which enables the facility to provide the highest quality care. Harry is driven to honor Hyde’s legacy by continuing to foster a culture of compassionate patient care and operational success.
