Grow Therapy and Amazon Join Forces to Enhance Employee Mental Health Services

Grow Therapy Partners with Amazon to Enhance Mental Health Access

A New Approach to Employee Mental Health

In a groundbreaking initiative, Grow Therapy, a leading mental health platform, has announced its partnership with Amazon to improve employee mental health services. This collaboration aims to transform the traditional Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered by Amazon to better serve the mental health needs of its workforce, which comprises more than one million employees.

Mental health has become an increasingly important topic as employees face various stressors in their personal and professional lives. Recognizing this need, Grow Therapy is committed to making mental health care more accessible and effective through this partnership.

Simplifying Access to Quality Care

According to Chris Decou, Amazon's Global Director of Benefits, the primary goal of this partnership is to ensure employees receive timely mental health support. "We want our employees to be able to access the support they need, when they need it," Decou states.

To achieve this, Grow Therapy has redesigned the EAP experience for full-time, regular U.S.-based employees, offering several significant benefits:
  • - No-Cost Initial Sessions: Employees can access their first six therapy sessions at no cost through the EAP. This initiative eliminates financial barriers that may prevent employees from seeking assistance.
  • - Nationwide Care: Services are available across all 50 states, providing employees with consistent access to mental health providers, regardless of their location.
  • - Diverse Provider Network: With thousands of vetted providers specializing in various fields, employees can find the right match for their unique needs.
  • - Flexible Schedule: Employees can book appointments during the day, evenings, and weekends, accommodating their work schedules and personal commitments.
  • - Rapid Appointment Scheduling: With appointments available within just two to three days, employees no longer have to endure long wait times to receive the help they need.
  • - Ongoing Support: The Grow mobile app offers clinically guided AI tools, enabling employees to engage in self-reflection between therapy sessions. With the client’s consent, these insights can be shared with their provider, ensuring focused and productive therapy sessions.

Commitment to Expanding Access

Jake Cooper, Co-founder and CEO of Grow Therapy, underscores the mission behind this initiative: "Our mission at Grow is to help people find incredible mental health care, no matter who they are, where they live, or what their occupation happens to be." By partnering with a company of Amazon's stature, Grow Therapy aims to reach more employees from diverse backgrounds, enhancing the overall mental health landscape.

As mental health concerns continue to rise, employers must prioritize the well-being of their employees. This partnership between Grow Therapy and Amazon is a significant step towards creating a healthier workplace environment.
