AlphaDrive Launches MIE StartUp FIELD Program
In an ambitious move to bolster startup activity in Mie Prefecture, AlphaDrive, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the commencement of the "MIE StartUp FIELD" initiative. This program is part of the prefecture's efforts to foster innovation and address local challenges through collaboration with external startups.
Background
AlphaDrive has been entrusted by Mie Prefecture to operate the "Mie Startup Support Program" for the fiscal year following the launch of the "Mie Startup Support Platform" on August 28, 2023. This initiative aims to create a partnership between local and external stakeholders to accelerate the development of solutions addressing regional issues.
The MIE StartUp FIELD program invites startups from outside Mie Prefecture to develop products and services that cater to local needs. By leveraging a collaborative approach, which includes local municipalities, firms, financial institutions, and educational entities, the program aspires to establish an extensive support system termed "All Mie".
Objectives of MIE StartUp FIELD
The program's goals are clear: not only does it provide a testing ground for startups, but it also aims to ensure those that successfully complete their trials can continue business operations and expand within Mie Prefecture in the following years. The program includes support that anticipates future growth, enhancing the sustainability of participating startups. Additionally, starting from June 2, 2026, the prefecture will reopen its startup consultation window for entrepreneurs and businesses.
Detailed Program Information
- - Recruitment Period: June 2, 2026, to July 22, 2026.
