Global AI Secures Major Funding to Expand Sovereign AI Infrastructure
Global AI Secures $441 Million Financing
Global AI, touted as the world’s premier sovereign AI hyperscaler, has recently completed a significant financing round, securing $441 million. This funding marks the company's inaugural debt raise, providing a strong financial foundation to enhance its AI infrastructure capabilities.
The senior secured credit facility was orchestrated by J.P. Morgan, with contributions from a consortium of leading lenders. Founded in 2024, Global AI is uniquely positioned to design, construct, and operate dedicated, single-tenant, air-gapped AI infrastructure tailored for the most sensitive workloads worldwide. This infrastructure is critical for nations and enterprises seeking secure environments for advanced AI training and inference. It empowers clients to control their data, infrastructure, and operations while leveraging the extensive scale and operational sophistication characteristic of a hyperscaler.
Sami Issa, the co-founder, director, and CEO of Global AI, remarked on the necessity for additional capital to meet the rapidly growing demand for specialized AI infrastructures. With an impressive $6.2 billion in contracted revenues, which includes $1 billion already recognized from initiatives delivered to customers, the company anticipates rapid scaling to keep pace with market requirements.
Global AI has ambitious plans for expansion across the United States, aiming for 1 gigawatt of operational capacity by 2029. This effort signifies a commitment not just to growth, but to providing secure and compliant AI infrastructures at a national scale.
