Moomoo Launches Its Second Global Paper Trading Competition
Moomoo, a leading global investment and trading platform, has officially announced the highly anticipated return of its Global Paper Trading Competition. After a successful inaugural run, the competition now enters its second year, incorporating
Nasdaq TotalView® and new
AI-powered tools designed to enhance participant experience and promote smarter investing strategies.
Starting on
October 12 (EST), users worldwide are invited to join this exciting challenge where they can safely trade with virtual money, free from financial risk, and compete for a share of
$200,000 in cash prizes.
Exciting New Features for Participants
This year’s competition, aptly themed
“Moove to the Next Level”, promises an enriched experience that encourages users to not only trade but also learn. Participants will receive
one month of free access to Nasdaq TotalView®, a boon for traders aiming to make informed decisions. Additionally, Moomoo has integrated its innovative AI assistant,
Moomoo AI, into the competition, which is designed to simplify complex market data and provide instant insights around the clock.
This new feature empowers users by breaking down barriers, allowing both novice and seasoned investors access to key market insights and answers to their trading questions. Participants will engage in the competition by paper trading U.S. stocks, ETFs, and options using a
$100,000 virtual fund, with the goal of maximizing returns over a
six-week trading period that encompasses pre-market, intraday, and post-market hours.
A Level-Up Journey
As users undertake this immersive trading experience, they will progress through different stages in a gaming-like “leveling-up” journey. By completing educational tasks and trading challenges, they will earn
Moomoo Tokens, which can be converted into cash at the end of the competition. The top competitors will achieve not only financial gains but also recognition by being awarded for their exceptional performance. The top three participants will earn cash rewards totaling
$14,000, along with exclusive trophies commemorating their accomplishments.
Regional Champions and Global Recognition
Moomoo's Global Paper Trading Competition not only focuses on overall winners but also recognizes regional champions from various countries including the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and Hong Kong SAR. Winners at the regional level will receive distinct accolades, and several top performers will have the unique opportunity to feature in a celebratory video displayed on the iconic
Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, New York.
Responding to Investor Needs
Neil McDonald, CEO of Moomoo US, highlighted the positive impact of last year's competition, stating that paper trading serves as a
valuable, risk-free way for investors of all skill levels to sharpen their trading capabilities. Notably, around
18% of participants last year had over ten years of trading experience, indicating that the appeal of this competition goes beyond beginners.
Brandon Tepper, Senior VP and Global Head of Data at Nasdaq, expressed pride in their ongoing partnership with Moomoo, emphasizing the importance of fostering financial literacy and equipping retail investors with comprehensive market data.
“The growing enthusiasm from Moomoo's global community showcases a rising interest in data-driven investing, making these competitions timely and relevant,” he noted.
