NFG SA Launches the Step Forward Foundation to Enhance Global Philanthropy

NFG SA Launches the Step Forward Foundation

NFG SA, the leading entity of the NFG Group, has recently taken a monumental step in its philanthropic efforts with the launch of the NFG Step Forward Foundation. This new independent charitable organization is established to enhance and structure the group's long-standing contributions to various social causes.

Since its founding in 2017, NFG Group has actively supported a variety of charitable initiatives. Notably, their efforts have included funding educational opportunities for underserved youth, sponsoring community programs, and directly assisting families in distress. The introduction of the Step Forward Foundation signifies a pivotal realignment in NFG’s commitment to philanthropy, aiming to enhance transparency, accountability, and maximize long-term impact by consolidating their charitable activities.

Operating as an independent platform, the Step Forward Foundation will receive contributions not only from NFG’s affiliated entities but also from clients and external donors. This structure is designed to provide a centralized point of contact for charities and community organizations that seek support, making it easier for those in need to access resources.

The foundation's primary objective is to empower underserved youth, focusing on giving them access to education, sports funding, healthcare, and essential well-being resources. However, it remains flexible and open to supporting a diverse array of charitable purposes globally.

To kickstart its operations, NFG SA has pledged an initial contribution of USD 1 million to the foundation. This funding will ensure that the foundation can begin its important work without delay. Keith Beekmeyer, the CEO of NFG Group, expressed his enthusiasm for this new phase in the company’s philanthropic journey. He stated, "Step Forward represents the next phase in NFG's commitment to giving back. By establishing an independent foundation, we can ensure that support is directed where it is needed most, with transparency and integrity at the core of our mission. We look forward to expanding our reach and delivering meaningful, lasting impact in communities worldwide."

The management of the Step Forward Foundation will be overseen by an independent Board of Trustees, including Dr. Kathryn Devos and Cecilia Rague-Kaisha, who will act as the foundation's ambassadors. They will be supported by corporate manager Shaunte Stapleton and secretary Troylin Evelyn. The foundation plans to announce additional trustees as its impact and activities grow.

The establishment of Step Forward follows NFG's ongoing philanthropic partnerships. Recently, NFG SA contributed to the Lenivan Foundation's annual campaign, which provided over 300 pairs of school shoes to children in Kenya. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support education and community initiatives across Africa.

NFG is inviting its clients, partners, and the wider public to engage with the Step Forward Foundation through donations, strategic collaborations, or referrals to organizations in need of support.
