The 25th JAPAN Drugstore Show Concludes: Asia's Largest Drugstore Festival
From August 8 to August 10, 2025, the Tokyo Big Sight hosted the
25th JAPAN Drugstore Show, organized by the Japan Chain Drugstore Association, led by Chairman Atsushi Tsukamoto. This major event brought together a wide array of products, information, and systems aimed at supporting the self-medication of consumers, marking it as one of the largest drugstore festivals in Asia.
In 2025, the show welcomed a remarkable
99,510 visitors, surpassing last year's attendance of
97,944. With
398 companies represented across
1,302 exhibition spaces, the event celebrated the theme "Delivering the Best Future to Our Community: The Next 25 Years of Self-Medication at Drugstores". Throughout the three days, the show highlighted industry challenges and future strategies, featuring various PR initiatives from exhibitors and lively events aiming to promote self-medication.
